Observant me. I am in Operation Overload yep!!!

The Government Reform Committee passed legislation designed to to credit the postal service between 50 billion and 75 billion pension assets that had been unfairly allocated by the office of Personnel Management. The Hr bill was introduced on July 15th.  The Hr bill is meat to help the Postal Service recoup the tens of billions of dollars in surplus funds it has accumulated in the Civil service Retirement System since 1971, the year the tax payer supported Post Office Department was reorganized into a self sufficient government agency.

The OPM has been unfairly taking away these funds and charging CSRS benefits paid for pre- 1971 service to the postal service instead of the U.S Treasury. Exactly how much the OPM has overcharged the USPS is still unclear, Inspector generals says in January that it was 75 billion, however in June the Regulator Commissioner said  it was between 50 & 55 billion dollars. To recover tens of billions at a time, that the Service is losing billions, that would be a major win for all regular craft and employer alike.

Right now the reform act requires the USPS to pre-fund it's retiree health benefit account at about $5.5 billion a year through 2016. The economic crash must have still been off everyone's radar screen when the highly compressed pre-funding schedule was formulated. No other government agency or private company is required to do this, and if the USPS hadn't been required to make such gigantic pre-funding payments, it would have been profitable in three of the past four years despite the worst recession in memory...

Well Well well...

This has been a very busy yet productive month for me The Post Office is going threw some transitions nation wide. Therefore they wont be hiring no more regulars for a while, which opens the door to knew options for the few postal employees at the bottom of the barrel like myself they are offering 60 postal employees driver training of course it benefits the post office at the end they are covering themselves for the holiday rush coming up, it's all good it makes my resume look even better *smirks* Today was my last day of training on the 2 ton truck it was fun I passed everything and I even got to drive on the actual street with actual traffic (I was so nervous, felt like I was about to shit bricks) but all went well and the DSI said "your qualified young lady" Yea!

On the other hand am still dealing with mom and she is getting unbearable by the hours, lol shes beginning to have a attitude and not want to do ANYTHING, the nurses are coming hear giving her all kind of medications and things to make her feel comfortable and she just refuses to use em, she complains about her appetite, her sleepless night her swollen feet. The nurse came here and ordered some sleeping pills, moms not taking the pills the nurse ordered a liquid medicine for her appetite, mom said it makes her throat dry, The nurse order a different type of medicine in a pill form this time, mom dont take the pill  \_( ' - ' )_/ I just dont get it. When I talk to her she snaps at me it makes me not want to say anything or be there sometimes because her attitude is so nasty. I understand that the Cancer is making her weak but she is just drowning herself  in her sorrows which is what we (the family) dont want to see her do, Me beginning the only child, am the one that goes by her everyday after her aide leaves and she dont seem to understand that not every single day i have the strength to come by and do the things that she can do if she just takes the time to do it, I know what she needs and I know what she can do on her own, she is fully functional she can move around as she please she is on oxygen but she has no limitations she just dont want to do anything. It's not easy begin the only child.Photobucket

In the long run that is my mother and I will do what ever it takes to keep her comfortable but sometimes I just wish she would see what am trying to say and stop beginning so stubborn.

In other News little man had orientation and registration today and tomorrow evening is the mandatory orientation for freshmens he is so excited and I am to. School starts September 9th.

No News is good News...

Mom went to the Oncology clinic this afternoon for her regular schedule visit. She has not been feeling at her best these past few days. I thought maybe the heat was taking a toll on her, because she is oxygen Dependant but as she left the doctors office today she found out different.

Last October she had start taking IV chemo to prevent the Cancer from spreading in her bones, but they never prescribed anything for the Cancer in her lungs, because doctors were unsure if the spotting on her lungs were from cancer or some sort of other lung disease (pulmonary fibrosis)  and the doctors were convinced that she cannot do a biopsy because of her breathing they thought she may have went into cardiac arrest.

Long story short as of July 22nd they want here to get a second chemo treatment aside from her six  week treatment this chemo is for the lungs and it will be given weekly. That is not the type of News she wanted to here shit none of us wanted to here that...she broke down instantaneously but I kept talking to her threw out the day and she finally started to eat something , she had lost her appetite again and that is not cool ..My mom went from a healthy 180lbs. to now 143lbs smh...It's crazy but am taking it one day at a time and I know the outcome is not going to be what any of us want but I need her to not think about that right now I want her to just live day by day for now. Life is what you make it and even tho she is not happy with her condition there is nothing that can be done at this time to change it ...I didn't tell her straight like that but am trying to make her understand she is not alone in this...

shit  Iam trying to quit smoking after I got off the phone with her I went straight to the store and bought a packet of Newport's talk about stress she has know idea how this ish is tearing me up to she such a independent strong women as her self turn into a fragile Dependant emotional baby. It's crazy but it's all in Gods hands and I will never question that man Never! Everything happens for a reason!

Note to self also, Get in on the housing boom while you still can!

Real estate numbers are in from the first quarter of 2010, and oh boy are they good: 31% of home sales so far this year were foreclosures!
According to Reuters, the total number of home foreclosures in 2009 was up over 1,100 percent from 2006, and 2,500 percent from 2005.
There's Never Been a Better Time to Buy a Foreclosed Home

Look at the nation,

Look at the nation,
that's a crooked smile braces couldn't even straighten!
